cont. That shows Davy just could not keep the ball in play that set, and some really silly unforced errors in that timespan make me lean towards mental inconsistency and lack of focus that led to Fed’s 13 straight games won. Fed did his part too, let’s not forget that. He raised his game level and I have to really give it to him for that incredible service hold at 3-1 2nd set that I really think shifted the momentum.

Hey just watched the Davydenko after match interview. He said that he doesn’t really know what happened at those 13 consecutive game losses but he said that 1-3 service hold by Federer changed the match.
But I want to say smth else now. He really starts to piss me off with his comments… Maybe he’s joking I don’t know. At some time in November after being asked how will he react after a Slam win he said that he certainly won’t cry like Federer. was he mocking him? Don’t know. cont…

And today he says Federer is lucky??? After those 5 incredible serves after he was 0-40 up in a Fed service game sometime in the 4th. He really must learn something from Fed about mental toughness in crucial moments instead saying things like that even if there are intended as jokes… I’m a Fed fan as you can clearly see

Hear hear. Tsonga’s been my favourite player ever since that unique display by Tsonga – hitting impossible volleys vs Nadal that match. Furthermore Tsonga has swagger and is very idiosyncratic in best french manner. His focus inconsistency seems to have diminished and he’s up 1-0 in sets atm vs Djokovic. Hope to see him keep up, so he’ll go through to meet Federer, who proved his best-of-5 excellence once again.

Who is this “Tsonga” guy? Never in a million years I thought he would beat “djokovic”. What’s his weakpoint/strong point? does he have good serves like Andy or something else? And how did he beat djokovic?! I was at work, just got home so I didn’t see anything

He has a good overall game, and is very athletic and quick around the court. His serve is good, as well as his forehand and backhand. His volley-game and touch is extraordinary strong. He plays a powerful, yet varied style of tennis. Has had some problems with injuries, and his concentration is a bit unstable. A fantastic player who could(if he stays fit) potentially become a top 3 player in the future, and who knows? Maybe wn1?

@newsweekrocks novak had terrible stomach pain in fourth set…..if he was feeling well he would easily win fourth set and advance to the semis…..tsonga was very luck y today
